Reducing Family Poverty through an Islamic Women’s Empowerment Strategy in Indonesia: An Analytical Network Process Approach

This study is intended to develop a strategy for the socio-economic empowerment of women from low-income families based on an Islamic perspective. The research was motivated by Indonesia’s low score Gender Inequality Index (GII) compared other countries, indicating gap between men’s and women’s in Indonesia. percentage who become heads poor households increases yearly. qualitative uses Analytical Network Process (ANP) test social welfare measures carried out governments, philanthropic institutions, microfinance institutions. As many as fifteen respondents involved ANP method were experts studied problems, namely regulators, practitioners, academics. results indicate that main priority issue developing development partnership networks. One implication this program must be holistic, e.g., forming Group Lending Model (GLM) with modification majlis ta'lim (Islamic community discussion group).
